I believe the internet has played a large part in boosting visibility for trans people; specifically, the stories played a large part. I was introduced to the idea of being trans because of these online stories that weren't necessarily being publicized by any one news organization.
As I became more confident in my identity but found it impossible to transition, these stories gave me hope in a way. That somehow I could be the child that has supportive parents. Or that I could be the person who falls in love as the gender I'm supposed to be. Or just everyday girl things I always wanted to do.
Really, the main goal of the website is to keep an archive (through listing them through a internet archive link) of every trans fem story I can find: fictional, nonfictional, or whatever. Specifically, the stories that include transition as a main part of the story, rather than a trans character just being there.
These stories should be preserved. So maybe whoever reading this can give hope to themselves when they need it. Maybe you can even spread that hope by spreading these stories.
I don't know. I want to make sure these type of stories are preserved because they really are the only things in my life that are keeping me going. I want these stories to help the next trans girl who needs it.
Note: I'm adding stories incrementally, so there won't be a whole lot in the beginnning!
